MEMORY DOORS AND LEGACY ROOMS

MEMORY DOORS AND LEGACY ROOMS

DOORS were installed on Friday at My Father’s House. This haven of rest is a 15 room facility that will NOT only house severely abused children left in brick makers prison, but will train these children cutting-edge missions.

As I saw the doors going up on Skype, right away I thought of the scripture in Revelation 3:8:

“To the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: These are the words of the One who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What He opens, no one will shut; and what He shuts, no one will open.”

We want to thank GRM friends who lovingly gave $100 per door. They are now purchased, installed and ready for the special plaques with memorial names. 21 doors in all will bear the names of God’s people. Children purchased from cruel slavery in brick makers prison will see your name every day and pray. This concept and principle is based on a passage found in II Corinthians 9:12-14. Paul said, “the poor saints in Jerusalem” (going through great persecution and trial), would give thanks and glorify God for the church at Corinth, helping in their hour of need, and they would be PRAYING for the Corinthians. People can walk through doors many times a day.

WE NEED TO FURNISH 15 ROOMS (SEVEN ARE ALREADY SPONSORED)

All other construction costs are currently covered, but we need more GRM donors to adopt our final rooms that need to be furnished at My Father’s House.

In a recent GRM hard copy newsletter, we shared that it costs $338 per room, except for the Teresa Sewing Center, which is one of the most expensive rooms to furnish with sewing machines and all equipment needed for training seamstresses. I hasten to say that the Teresa Sewing Center has been covered thanks to a generous donor.  I would like to add here that these are actual rock bottom field costs.

Some of the rooms cost more, but we averaged this out per room for adoption purposes. Going over our records we now have 7 rooms sponsored. This is wonderful!

LEAVE A LEGACY FOR A CHILD

Now we need to step this up, as we will need to furnish all the rooms soon. We want to be ready for the children!

I’m calling these rooms legacy rooms. The dictionary defines legacy as an amount of money or property left to someone in a will, bequestinheritanceheritageendowmentgift, or birthright. These rooms will house up to six children over and over again, should the Lord tarry. Some of these children will end up serving the Lord as pastors, some missionaries, and some as business people. This gift will continue to give encouragement, healing, and discipleship until Jesus comes. It’s a real legacy! Seldom do we have opportunities like this to invest in lives with just one gift.

HONORARY PLAQUES ON EVERY WALL

You can also honor a loved one. Teresa and I purchased the front door in honor of my dad, who was a soul winner his whole life. Most of the rooms are available to choose from. You can see, we will have a boys side and girls side. You may choose a room to sponsor. Each room will have a plaque that will bear the name of donors or the person to honor. Please make sure you give exact names of someone you want to honor. The name will be placed on the wall where children can see it at all times to bless and pray for you.

Currently, we need 8 more rooms adopted. If you give on this page, we will see your designated gift and in the comment section please carefully write the name you would like on a wall plaque. If you want to do more than one room, we welcome this. Also when we are finished, we will send you a picture of your room and plaque.

ONLY EIGHT LEGACY ROOMS LEFT FOR ADOPTION!

We need your help today! Please join us on this new adventure. When you see kids in the room you adopted you will never forget that lasting effect of your love.
