Dear Co-laborer in the Gospel of our Lord Jesus,

I know our Heavenly Father is so pleased with the salvation of over 57,152 children this year along with many parents.  As you have read in my recent personal letter to you our VBS India has succeeded our expectations.

Our God will do exceedingly ABOVE all we ask or think. It’s good to look back at the miracle of God’s grace, reflecting on the goodness of our great God. It is His will to use us in a mighty way. This is seen from Genesis to Revelation. It is His will that we bear much fruit, John 15:1-8.

We started in February of 2021 on a great journey and we just finished the last week of November 2021. Along with our Native leaders we gave up vacations, trips, and more to witness this great blessing from God. When we sacrifice, the fire will fall!

From preparing, going, to follow-up, the move of God continues among these children. I have written several letters on this great project and we stand amazed at God’s grace and the love of God’s people enabling us to not only reach 57,152 souls but to return and follow all of them up and install in every village a Reader Program consisting of a trained reader and five fully Illustrated Children’s Bibles per village. I remember so many stories along the way. One comes to mind when we were stricting geras to providing Illustrated Bibles. Even though we buy them greatly discounted they cost $4 a copy. I was happy to provide one Bible per village then our director told us that the children were pleading for more Bibles and for the program to really work they needed 5 Bibles per village. Again I struggled, for we have never done this much as it also included travel costs to all the villages. But we asked you to help and YOU came through!

I’m being honest with you when I say I was so amazed at God’s grace and your love that many times tears came just thinking about all the happy children. Our director, team of native pastors, and volunteers reported weekly and many times several times a week with progress reports. We asked for some good pictures and so one of the native leaders that was a good photographer sent us some of the most wonderful pictures we have seen. We want you to see what our eyes have seen for months now and pray that you enjoy them! And please continue to pray as the reader program continues to this very hour.

Missions isn’t a vanity project, and it isn’t the janitorial work of ministry. It is the crown jewel of Christian worship—the kind of service in which David exults, which Christ commands, and for which the Apostle Paul ceaselessly labors: “For you remember, brothers, our labor and toil: we worked night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you, while we proclaimed to you the gospel of God”

(1 Thessalonians 2:9).

The impact of this program cannot be calculated as adults are coming to listen to the Bible reading also, as you will see. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.
