Lesson 12 – Faith and Confession

Gen 1:3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.

Light came into existence at the spoken Word of God. It existed in hope form in God’s heart. He had faith that it would appear at the moment He spoke, and so He spoke. He made a confession according to The Word that was in His heart.

We have believed unto salvation, our mind is being Renewed, to our faith we have added – by God’s grace – hope, love and patience. When we are ready to begin the “doing” of faith, the first step is confession.

What does confession mean? It means the words we speak about what we believe, what we are going to do, and what we are expecting God to do for us. They are the words we speak while we are teaching or preaching, while we are praying, or while we are having a casual conversation.  Their source is our heart, or the basic beliefs that we hold to.  We will find out what God’s Word says about the basis for confession, why we must be careful about our confession, and what we can expect to achieve by Biblical confession.

We will find that confession is part of The Laws of The Kingdom of God.  As we learn what ‘The Word’ teaches concerning our words, we can begin to walk according to the Biblical pattern. We will begin with:
