GRM SETS 22 FAMILY MEMBERS FREE FROM LIFE IN PRISON

GRM STARTS NEW YEAR WITH DELIVERING SECOND LARGEST FAMILY FREED FROM PRISON!

January 3rd we celebrated the release of our second-largest family ever to be set free from brick makers prison in Pakistan.

We kicked off the New Year with their deliverance.  Last year ended with the salvation of approximately 7,000 souls during Tribal Christmas. Before the end of this month, 21 women, all former slaves, will graduate from the Teresa Sewing Center!

Teresa and I experienced such joy and amazement reading this news on our computer this morning. Sometimes we don’t know when the family will arrive at the church that GRM helped build several years ago. Twenty-two members is not an easy task to deliver from prison, but it happened and the time we spent with them was very exciting! It takes time and effort, but we like to see every family the day they get out of prison. You can tell by looking at them that they are so AMAZED. Sometimes they look like they are in shock. They say to our leaders, “We thought we were dreaming, but it was real.”  Sometimes they look afraid because they have never seen Americans before except for the pictures of Teresa on the Teresa Sewing Centers banners seen in many brick maker prisons.

As with all the Christian families we set FREE, none of them have committed a real crime. Most do not even know why they are in prison as they were born, raised, married and had children of their own in prison. These are third and fourth generation prisoners.

ALL THE KIDS WANT TO GO TO SCHOOL.

Who wants to go to school? These kids do! The entire family cannot read or write, but soon the children will be in school and the adults will go through training to learn some basics. Our program provides all smaller children with uniforms, books, and payment of school entry fees for the first time in their lives.

EACH FATHER WILL GET A VOCATIONAL TRADE TO SUPPORT THEIR FAMILY

In this case, we have three families. The two fathers are brothers and the third brother is deceased but his oldest son will be the provider for his family. Each head of household will be given a home, food and a vocational trade. They will all be self-sufficient within three months.

THE TERESA SEWING CENTER IS NEXT FOR THE LADIES

While skyping with the entire family, we asked how many had heard of the Teresa Sewing Centers and most of the wives and daughters raised their hands. They all want to attend and this group has a lot of ladies. For only $100 you can help us graduate one of these ladies. Your gift can make all the difference and you will provide a vocational trade for life.
